what are these
These are two small speakers, quite like what's actually inside regular on-ear or over-ear headphones, except without the band. They are made for Skullcandy's series of hoodies and hats that had compartments in them for these mini-speakers. They connect to your iPod, iPhone, or other media player via a 1/8" headphone jack.

does this headphone have a compartment?
Yes, I believe they have a small compartment for the included bottle opener. I don't think it's big enough to fit anything else in though.

is there anywhere i can customize my own skullcandys like the color and design
I don't think so. At least, I haven't heard of such a place. However, when I got my Red Print G.I.'s a while back, they came with two sets of ear cushions, a regular black set and a cool looking red and white set. Those were the last generation G.I.'s though, so I don't know if they still do that. Also, the Skullcandy Lowrider headphones have replaceable plates on them that you can mix and match for a unique look. But as for an actual custom designer thing, I don't think they have that. It sure would be cool though!

Is there a removable cord?
I always seem to break the cord on headphones one way or another. Do these have a replaceable cord?
I'm afraid not. The cable is not removable, so if the cable breaks, the headphones will not work. However, this shouldn't be too much of a concern because of Skullcandy's fantastic lifetime warranty. If their is a manufacturer's defect, such as the cable breaking for no good reason, you can send your broken headphones in to Skullcandy for a credit for skullcandy.com equal to the full value of your headphones. Even if it's not a manufacturer's defect, such as a snowboarding crash while wearing the headphones (which is not recommended), you will still receive a credit for skullcandy.com equal to 50% of the value of your headphones. So although the cable is not detachable, that shouldn't stop you from purchasing these great headphones.

Are these headphones compatiable with a Ipod Touch?
Yes, they are compatible with any device with a 1/8" headphone jack (or a 1/4" jack when using the included adaptor). All Apple products, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. will work great with any Skullcandy headphones.

Do they have good bass?
I agree with the previous replies. If you're coming from Beats by Dre or other high-bass headphones, then the bass will seem weak. But if you're just upgrading from in-ear headphones or iPod earbuds, the bass will seem strong. Also, these respond very well to EQ, so if you want more bass then try turning on the Bass Booster on your device.

Where do I get the NBA colors?
I don't believe there are currently NBA colors, however I've heard more colors will be added in 2012. If you want NBA colors, check out the Skullcandy Hesh, however those aren't nearly as high quality as these (from what I've heard - I don't have these myself but given the $250 price difference I would assume they're quite different).

why are the 2010 SK Pro Throwbacks more exspencive than the g.i. rastas?
i just want to know why they are more expencive
The SK Pros are higher quality, more advanced headphones. The feature larger drivers, a higher quality extra-thick cable, and from what I've heard, more durable construction. I used to have the G.I., and I will say they were great, but the SK Pros are sort of like the next step up.
